The program about research of PODE_n production was fund by the Jiangsu Technology Department in 2014 (No. BC2014193). At present, the program had passed the assessment of expert group. Our company can produce this product on a large scale.

Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers (PODE_n), with the formula CH₃O(CH₂O)_nCH₃ (n=2-8) are novel diesel additives widely studied over the world. Their high cetane numbers (>63) and oxygen contents (>45%) can increase the combustion efficiency and reduce the particulate matter emission from diesel engines. Among them, PODE₃ and PODE₄ are considered to be the most suitable diesel additives due to their similar properties to diesel fuel.
